"If you find yourself in the inner west, this cafe is an absolute must! Having only opened in April, I don’t think many locals are yet aware of this incredible gem. Staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the level of service was exceptional. They make a great Chai, wonderful coffee, have a lovely range of pastries in the front displays and offer a variety of meals too. The cafe is deceptively large. There's main seating when you walk in, then downstairs to another indoor setting with large windows, and then an outdoor setting with umbrellas out the back. We sat in the second setting, with the warmth from the midday sun seeping in through the large open windows. Make sure to visit! This cafe deserves to be brimming with customers every minute of the day."

"Tried Grit & Grind for the first time today and wow the food was fantastic!! A simple chicken sandwich was absolutely delicious. Juicy roasted chicken blended with a delicate aioli, lettuce and tomato toasted. Took some Spanakopita home to enjoy later.... omg soft, buttery, tasty... I will be back to try the rest of the menu!!! Especially at their reasonable prices. A great place to find."

"Seating available outside & limited seating inside. Ideal for picking up a meal to take back to office, or if there's seating available, take a break from your office. Highly recommend their Dirty Chai Latte (organic chai tea with a shot of espresso). Tried Lebanese chicken with salad (thigh pieces with crispy seasoned skin, served with a lightly dressed fresh salad & Middle Eastern style rice pilaf which included pine nuts) - flavourful & enjoyable. Grit & Grind also offers a variety of dishes in their hot bar (2 choices with rice/noodles); dishes vary depending on the day of the week. Service is always friendly."
